In late September last year, we published one of our most favorite posts: Life of a Homeschooler. If you didn't get a chance to check it out, you can read it here.
Anyways, we decided to do another post like this one, just a little different. In "Life of a Homeschooler" we busted a few common myths that people believe about homeschoolers. Well, in this special vacation edition of "Life of a Homeschooler," we're busting more myths again. Just this time, it's myths about what homeschoolers do on vacation. And it's perfect for this season since we just got onto break. OK. Let's get started.
Myth 1: Homeschoolers don't do school on vacation.
Busted! Uh, we do. it may not be a full blown school day with set wake up times and so on and so on, but we still have plenty of school work to do over the break. In order to prepare for our next semester, we always have to do some prepping over the break.
Myth 2: We don't have to do school in the car on road trips.
Busted! We still have to do school on road trips or plane flights, especially if we're taking a trip in the middle of a school year. Then we have to make sure that we catch up or we won't have any idea of what's going on in class.
Myth 3: We use every trip as a learning experience.
Busted! This one is actually kinda true. Getting to visit historical sights is a major treat, especially if you just learned about that past school year. For instance, going to see the Statue of Liberty or the American Constitution is an amazing experience. I encourage everyone to take like that in your lifetime!
