Coexist Doesn't Exist

You have probably seen the sign COEXIST, but theoretically it's impossible. I mean how can groups of people exist together, when all they want to do is kill each other. That sounds like everyone will be dead before you have peace. Think about it one belief has to die before another can rise up. For instance, Islam and Christianity are exact opposites, so how will they "Coexist" ? Think about it and then let me know.
