The Greek word for Counselor is parakletos. It literally means called to the side of. God, our Counselor, is literally drawn to our side. He is not aloof, distant, and uncaring. Our Counselor teaches us what is right, guides our decisions, and offers us compassion and comfort. Like a best friend, He constantly walks with us and guides our paths. Our Counselor helps us in times of trouble guides us in times of confusion, teaches us in moments of ignorance, and comforts us in times of difficulty.
